CSSI Workshop: Introduction to R

Tuesday, November 5, 2024 1:00pm to 2:45pm
Social Sciences Research Building
This workshop will discuss the basics of R programming. Participants will be introduced to the R interface, command syntax, R-script files, and basic functions (e.g., opening a dataset, summary statistics, merging multiple datasets, etc.). We will also discuss techniques to visualize data in R and estimate regression models. This is an introductory workshop appropriate for those with limited or no familiarity with R. CSSI Workshop: Introduction to Multilevel Modeling

This workshop will discuss the basics of multilevel modeling. Participants will learn how nesting or clustering in data creates dependency not accounted for in general linear models. Multilevel models allow for additional research questions and account for the dependency due to nesting.
