CSSI Workshop: Introduction to Spatial Data Management, Mapping, and Analysis

This workshop is designed for individuals interested in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and learning about common spatial data structures and basic data handling. Participants will be introduced to online open sources for spatial data, mapping techniques for publication, and widely used spatial analysis methods, including spatial joining, interpolation, and autocorrelation. The workshop will utilize the GIS platform ArcGIS Pro, which is provided by the University of Iowa and is accessible in 243 Jessup Hall. This is an introductory workshop, and no background knowledge is required.
