Julie Lee is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy. She studies the topic of paid and unpaid caregiver involvement using qualitative and quantitative approaches, such as professional caregivers who also have family caregiving responsibilities. Considering that employees with caregiving responsibilities are often discriminated against because of their duty, Dr. Lee’s research is relevant to healthcare management to help retain workers and give them opportunities to thrive in and contribute to the workplace with what they have learned from their caregiving responsibilities.
