Grant Development Specialist
Biography

In her role as a grant development specialist, Kate Gloer assists social science researchers with grant development activities, provides feedback on proposal submission narratives, researches new funding opportunities in the social sciences, and explores new collaborative initiatives to improve success rates for grant applications.  

Kate joined the center in 2019 after serving for nearly ten years in the UI Department of Biostatistics as the Quality Management Lead for the Clinical Trials Statistical & Data Management Center (CTSDMC). Kate’s professional background also includes over 20 years of experience as a medicinal chemist in the pharmaceutical industry, as a research scientist for SBIR-funded catalysis research, and as an academic researcher in the field of natural products chemistry.
