Project Description: The goals of this evaluation are to conduct a rigorous and informative evaluation that will assist the Attorney’s Office in evaluating the success of the program related to the program’s goals of (1) reducing community violence and gun violence related activities, (2) increasing referrals to service providers for intervention, and (3) reducing involvement with the criminal justice system. The ISRC will work with the Attorney’s office to collect data through various modes to meet these goals.

Project Description: The aim of the community survey is to document the political behavior, civic attitudes, and self[1]reported health outcomes of immigrant groups, especially Latina/o/x individuals, other people of color, and immigrants, living in Iowa. The study is part of a community-partnered project co-led by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) of Iowa. One purpose of the study is to inform LULAC leaders' efforts to promote civic and political engagement among Iowa Latinos.

The project will produce recommendations for Polk County and the Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) to a) address drinking water behavior among these groups and b) build relationships with these communities.

Project Description: The project seeks to understand how bureaucrats in three different agencies—The Department of Homeland Security, The Department of Justice, and The Department of Health of Human Services—responded to the Trump Administration’s 2018 immigration policy of “zero tolerance” and family separation. The projects asks if different professional backgrounds and perceptions of organizational missions affected whether bureaucrats responded by complying with mandates, expressing objections, or disobeying directives. In doing so, this project discusses the challenges of implementing a controversial policy that requires coordination across multiple federal agencies.

Project Description: The consultation will involve two different datasets: the first is concerning the sequence of touches, PPE use, and hand hygiene and the second is from PPE donning and doffing simulations. With both datasets the consultant will help with data visualization, and regression. In the sequence dataset they will look at additional advanced statistical methods.

Project Description: The topic of this consultation focused on data and whether neuropsychological test scores and sub scores predict various diagnoses. First the pilot data was reviewed and the consultant provided a walkthrough doing the analysis using R. In the second part, the full study data will be analyzed and reviewed using R.
