Are you a researcher looking for the tools to transform your manuscript from draft to high-impact publication?
Join the Center for Social Science Innovation (CSSI) and the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) for a new workshop designed to help social sciences and humanities researchers successfully navigate the publishing process.
The eight-hour workshop will provide guidance on how to draft persuasive manuscripts, select and submit to appropriate leading journals, and proceed with decision letters and potential resubmissions.
Workshop participants will be walked through a real-world submission process and provided key readings to cultivate their understanding of the complex publishing landscape.
Though the workshop is geared towards the scholarly needs of graduate students, all early-career faculty and scientific staff are welcome to join.
The workshop will be split into two parts. The first part will be on Tuesday, July 15th from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. The second part will be on Wednesday, July 16th from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Both parts will be hosted in the lower-level meeting room (008) of the Social Sciences Research Building.

Early registration is encouraged as seating is limited.
Jamil Marques, associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and CSSI researcher affiliate, will run the workshop.
