Project Description: The project goal is to use a scientific approach to (1) poll a representative sample of Johnson County residents to estimate public input regarding the plan to replace the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Jail and public perceptions of public safety, mental health supports, and community trust, and (2) moderate focus groups with key partners to develop an in-depth understanding of the needs of staff, incarcerated persons, and the community.
