Note: In September 2024, the Center for Social Science Innovation replaced the Public Policy Center and its subsidiary unit the Iowa Social Science Research Center.
The Iowa Social Science Research Center (ISRC) grants team assisted Kate Magsamen-Conrad, associate professor of Communication Studies, in securing a National Institute of Health subaward worth $202,332 as part of a funded project called Free Time 4 Wellness (FT4W). The project aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the FT4W program as a method of increasing physical activity and associated chronic diseases among mothers living in low-resourced communities. Congratulations!
The ISRC provides grant support, plus many other services for researchers on campus. Check out our website, or contact us at isrc-info@uiowa.edu.
