Note: In September 2024, the Center for Social Science Innovation replaced the Public Policy Center and its subsidiary unit the Iowa Social Science Research Center.

The Public Policy Center is offering two distinctive opportunities for faculty and scientific staff to receive in-residence research support from June 17 – July 19, 2024.

The Researcher-in-Residence Program supports researchers exploring topics of significant public interest, and the Fellowship for Qualitative Research assists scholars using qualitative methodologies, such as ethnography, historical comparative research, and content analysis. Project work during these programs may include grant development, data collection, manuscript writing, and dissemination. Both programs foster an environment of collaboration and intellectual growth, requiring participants to work in residence at the Public Policy Research Building and engage in program-related activities.
