Are you a faculty member, staff researcher, or graduate student looking to enhance your peer review skills? Do you find reviewing to be challenging or time-consuming?
Join us at the Center for Social Science Innovation (CSSI) for our new workshop for researchers interested in learning the best practices for reviewing social science research manuscripts.
The 90-minute workshop will present practical guidance on evaluating research quality, offering effective and constructive feedback, and the ethical responsibilities of peer reviewers.
Researchers will leave the session with the tools and skills to write clear, helpful, and meaningful manuscript reviews for both qualitative and quantitative empirical research.
The workshop will be hosted on Wednesday, April 23rd, from 2:30 – 4:00 pm in the lower-level meeting room (008) of the Social Sciences Research Building.
Mark Berg, CSSI director and professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology, and Julianna Pacheco, CSSI researcher affiliate and professor in the Department of Political Science, will run the workshop.
