Biography

Lisa Halm-Werner is a project specialist and serves as the center’s IRB liaison for the University of Iowa Human Subjects Office.

Her role involves all facets of data collection services, including project planning, instrument development and testing, compliance with human subjects’ protocols, interviewer training, sample procurement and management, data coding, quality control, and more. Lisa also provides expert-level support for project cost estimation and budget management.

With a combined 29 years of experience managing field operations and data collection processes for public and private sector organizations, Lisa supports researchers seeking information via telephone, mail, web, and in-person data collection modes.

Key industry memberships include the American Association of Public Opinion Researchers (AAPOR) and the Association of Academic Survey Research Organizations (AASRO). Lisa is also formally trained in focus group moderation and questionnaire design.
