Biography

Yi-Fang Lu is an Assistant Research Scientist at the Center for Social Science Innovation. She received her PhD in Criminology, Law and Society from George Mason University. Her research interests include evidence-based policing, occupational health of criminal justice professionals, social determinants of health, and neighborhood and crime.

Prior to joining the center, she worked at the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy at George Mason University on a variety of policing research projects primarily to understand how police can better respond to mental health crises in suburban and rural communities. Her work has been published in the Journal of Urban Health, Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Justice Quarterly, the Journal of Experimental Criminology, Police Practice and Research, and Policing: a Journal of Policy and Practice.
