Carrie Lorig, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the School Psychology program within the Department of Psychological and Quantitative Foundations. Carrie completed her doctoral training in School Psychology at Georgia State University and her pre-doctoral internship at Guilford County Schools Psychological Services in Greensboro, North Carolina. Her research employs developmental and ecological approaches to examining the intersection of trauma, trauma-informed care, school violence, and school mental health. This work includes school shooting intervention and prevention, school-based threat assessment training and implementation, youth violent extremism prevention, and systems-level approaches to trauma-informed care.
